In the 1980's, Elmer moved Puerto Rico. He has
been actively investing in real estate for the last 16 years in the
Houston, Texas area. During that time, he has successfully bought,
repaired, managed and sold over 600 units! His investments have ranged
from single family homes to multifamily apartment complexes.
Like others, Elmer has thrived in the booming Texas housing market; but he also survived the recession that happened in Texas in the late 80's as a result of the collapse of the oil industry. From these experiences, he has developed strategies
and techniques that have been very successful in both up and down real estate markets.
A few years ago, Elmer took an objective look at his real estate investing activities. He and his brother had 24 employees, 18 associates and 13 operating entities. They were managing hundreds of units and doing around $3,000,000 a year in "flips".
That's when Elmer asked himself, "Why?"
He realized that he had more than enough money to enjoy freedom of choice. He chose to downsize his portfolio and enjoy the fruits of his labor.
Elmer spent the next two years touring the country with his wife and two children. They fell in love with Montana and moved there. He still commutes to Texas to manage his real estate. Now that's real financial independence!
Today, he conducts seminars and workshops where he teaches others his proven methods of making quick profits with real estate.
Elmer has appeared as a guest on several radio and TV shows discussing real estate and economic development topics. He also served on the board of director of several real estate and nonprofit organizations including the National Real Estate.
Investors Association and the Brazos Valley Real Estate Investors Association. He is past president of both of these organizations. Elmer has earned a BS Degree in Engineering from TEXAS A&M University and a Law Degree from La Salle University.
